FCC Transactions from December 9, 2020
In this week's FCC transactions, T-Mobile and AT&T submitted applications to assign parts of 13 AWS-1 licenses to each other. Several of the assignments break specific counties out from the existing call sign. From these applications, T-Mobile is increasing their spectrum depth in Oklahoma, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Utah. AT&T is increasing its spectrum depth in Utah, Ohio, Wisconsin, Mississippi, and Louisiana. T-Mobile also filed to acquire an EBS license from Grapeland Independent School District in Texas, which they currently lease. T-Mobile filed 16 new EBS leases. The leases with Aeronet Wireless covering Puerto Rico provide new spectrum to T-Mobile and one of the Texas leases is also new. The remaining leases provide continued access to spectrum in Texas, Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, New York, and Pennsylvania. Also this week, new leases were filed involving the Nevada Gold Mines leasing AWS-1 spectrum for their mine facilities from ATNI and Huntsville Board of Education leasing back the EBS spectrum that they assigned to SoniqWave two months ago.
