FCC Transactions from December 4, 2019
In this week's FCC transactions, SoniqWave has filed to acquire 4 BRS licenses in New Mexico. These transactions will be very impactful to Sprint's ability to provide 4G and 5G in the Albuquerque area. These transactions provide Soniqwave with 9 channels (51 MHz) of spectrum in Albuquergue and 73.5MHz of spectrum in Las Cruces. It doesn't appear as though Sprint ever had access to these licenses. Sprint did file five new EBS spectrum leases this week, providing spectrum covering Richmond VA, Cleveland OH, Pittsfield MA, Rochester NY, and Manchester NH. All of these licenses were previously leased to Sprint. Also this week Rhino Communication re-leased an EBS license covering Abilene, TX. The final two transactions are for partial county leases. Cooper Valley Wireless is leasing Verizon's 700MHz C block for part of the Caldez-Cordova Borough, AK and Wireless Partners is leasing AT&T's AWS-3 J license in part of Essex County, VT
