In this week's spectrum transactions Verizon and Strata Networks filed to exchange PCS spectrum in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. Strata Networks is receiving two multi-county licenses in rural Utah, while Verizon is receiving 3 individual county licenses in Colorado and Wyoming. It seems as though the licenses Verizon is acquiring are in tourist areas. Mark Twain Communications also continued to acquire the EBS licenses that they currently lease now that EBS licenses can be acquired by commercial carriers.
