Weekly Spectrum Transaction Summary - May 13, 2022 July 13, 2022 16:30

This week's transactions are headlined by LMDS spectrum transactions.  In the first transaction Broadband One continued their roll up of small LMDS licenses holders by filing to acquire 2 Lightspeed.  2 Lightspeed has 6 LMDS licenses covering areas in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma as indicated in the map below.  The second transaction is Verizon's second try to eliminate the remaining LMDS licenses under their control.  Verizon previously had an agreement to assign these licenses to Etheric but that transaction was dismissed a few weeks ago.  In the current transaction Geolinks is purchasing the remaining LMDS licenses.  It appears that Verizon will still retain several LMDS B licenses.  These licenses overlap the LMDS A licenses in yellow (450MHz) in the Verizon map below.  In the yellow areas, Verizon owns both the LMDS A licenses (300MHz) and the LMDS B licenses (150MHz).  The remaining assignment transaction involves a Puerto Rico spectrum trade between Liberty and Claro.  Liberty will receive two PCS licenses while Claro receives a AWS-1 license.  The remaining new lease transactions have T-Mobile re-leasing EBS spectrum in Illinois and Arkansas.
