Weekly Spectrum Transaction Summary - September 20, 2019 November 20, 2019 00:00

In this week's FCC transactions, Verizon continues to acquire 28GHz licenses that were owned prior to Auction 101.  This week they filed to acquire licenses in 15 North Carolina counties and 5 West Virginia counties from Highland Holdings.  With Highland Holdings, Verizon is acquiring both the L1 and L2 channels, totaling 850MHz of spectrum.  Verizon also has filed to acquire licenses in 4 Oregon counties from Wilcom.  Verizon is acquiring both the L1 and L2 channels in each of these counties.  USCellular and Verizon have both filed acquire 28GHz licenses from Technautics.  Verizon and USCellular will each receive 1 of the 28GHz channels in Pender, NC; Brunswick, NC; Columbus, NC; New Hanover, NC; and Boone, MO counties.  In addition, Verizon will receive both channels in 1 Pennsylvania county and USCellular will receive both channels in 5 Missouri counties.  In the EBS spectrum band, 360 Communications submitted a new lease for 2 EBS channels covering Paris, TX while Sprint submitted a new lease for 4 EBS channels covering Birmingham, AL.  Paladin Wireless also submitted a new lease for 4 EBS channels covering east of Atlanta, GA.  The final transactions for this week provide Great River Energy with access to Access 700's 700MHz guard band channel in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa.
