FCC Transactions from December 11, 2019
In this week's FCC transactions, Verizon has filed to acquire all of the 28GHz licenses controlled by Wireless Distribution Services. A map of their license area is included below. This is another acquisition of 28GHz spectrum that was owned prior to Auction 101. Also in this week's transactions, Sprint has filed new leases for 4 EBS call signs. These leases provide access to spectrum covering Richmond VA, Topeka KS, Birmingham AL, and Wenatchee WA. All of these licenses were previously leased to Sprint. The final two transactions exchange subleases between Sprint and Kansas Broadband Internet. Sprint receives access to a lease covering north of Kansas City in Missouri while Kansas Broadband Internet receives access to a lease covering to the northwest of Kansas City in Kansas.
